The Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Clark University,
Worcester, Massachusetts, U.S.A. seeks applications to its doctoral program
in Holocaust History and Genocide Studies. The Center is a forum for
education and scholarship about the Holocaust, the Armenian Genocide, and
other genocides around the world. Dedicated to teaching, research, and
public service, the Center trains the Holocaust historians and genocide
studies scholars of the future--the next cadre of professors, teachers,
Holocaust museum directors and curators, and non-governmental organization
and government agency experts-about genocide and genocidal situations.
Applications from any country are welcome.

We also seek applications to the interdisciplinary Ph.D. stream in
Psychology of Genocide offered by the Strassler Center and Clark's
Psychology Department. Ideally, candidates for the Psychology of Genocide
stream will have master's level (or equivalent) university education with
basic background in psychology and demonstrated interest in the social and
cultural studies of genocide, fluency in two languages in addition to
English, and sufficient background in mathematics andsciences to deal with
statistical methods.
The financial package we offer includes full tuition of $34,900, a
fellowship package of $15,000 per year, and a yearly research  bursary of
$5,000. These terms hold throughout the five years of the Ph.D. program.

Deadline for applications for the Holocaust History and Genocide Studies
track is January 15, 2011. Deadline for applications for the Psychology of
Genocide psychology track is December 27, 2010.
