Jewish Senior Centre

The Jewish Community of Berlin offers an array of residential options to meet the individual needs of its senior members. The Senior Centre takes into account the individual biography of each person and offers him or her meaningful assisted living, in a Jewish environment.

We look forward to welcoming you and showing you and/or your loved ones a facility that is right for you.

Senior Centre receives Kosher Certification

The Jeanette Wolf and Leo Baeck senior centres opened their doors in 1980. Milk and meat meals were prepared in the respective sections of the kosher kitchen at the Jeanette Wolff Centre. However, the kitchen operated without rabbinical supervision, which sometimes caused comlplications.  This changed on September 11, 2009 when the kitchen and dining hall of the Senior Centre of the Jewish Community of Berlin became “Kosher leMehadrin,” under the supervision of Rabbi Reuven Yaacobov.

Rabbi Reuven Yaacobov ceremoniously affixes the kosher certificates on the wall of the Senior Centre dining room together with centre employees as well as Mr Kristal, Ms Liebermann, Mr and Mrs Wolff.
