Haus "Jeanette Wolff" (retirement home)

This residence is located next to the picturesque Lietzensee Lake, in Berlin’s Charlottenburg district. Each apartment is designed especially for seniors.

The centre has 81 residents living in flats ranging in size between 40 and 56 square metres, divided among five floors. Everyone is able to live out their Jewishness in the way to which they are accustomed. This is supported through special services and entertainment designed especially for the residents.

The retirement home opened its doors in 1980. It is named after Jeanette Wolff (of blessed memory) (1888 – 1976). Wolff was a member of the Berlin city council and federal parliament. The devoted trade unionist, she was one of post-war Germany’s most prominent female Jewish leaders.
