The Tax Department is responsible for determining the membership fees levied on community members. This is done in a number of ways.

The rate may be determined by income, based on an individual member’s income tax return. In such cases, the rate amounts to nine percent of taxed income. Alternatively, the rate may be calculated on a monthly basis for people not employed on a salaried basis. If proof of income is not submitted, the tax is levied based on an estimate made by the community’s Tax Department.
