Rabbi Dr. T. Ben-Chorin

Born in 1936 in Jerusalem, married with two sons (and fantastic daughters-in-law), five wonderful grandchildren
1960: B.A. at Hebrew University of Jerusalem (Bible and Jewish history)
1964: rabbinical ordination at Hebrew Union College Jewish Institute of Religion, Cincinnati (USA)
Served in progressive communities in the USA, South Africa and England
1981 - 1996: Rabbi of the Har El congregation in Jerusalem, co-founded by his father, Schalom Ben-Chorin
1997 – 2007: Rabbi of the Or Chadash congregation in Zürich
Starting on April 1, 2009: Rabbi of the Jewish Community of Berlin (liberal)
Rabbi Ben-Chorin has served twice as president of the Israel Council of Progressive Rabbis, is a docent at the Abraham Geiger College in Berlin, and is involved in Jewish-Christian, Israeli-Palestinian and German-Jewish dialog
