Rabbi Reuven Yaacobov

  • 1993 – 1994, Studies at the “Shavei Gola” Yeshiva in Jerusalem, Israel
  • 1994 – 2001, Studies and graduation certification at the “Midrash Sepharadi” Yeshiva in Jerusalem, Israel. Certifications: shochet (butcher), mohel (circumciser), sofer stam (scribe), menaker, shaatnez and smicha (rabbinic ordination)
  • 2001 – to present, employed as the Jewish community’s orthodox–Sephardic rabbi; shochet, sofer and religion teacher for bar and bat mitzvah preparation. Also, self-employed as a mohel.

Rabbi Reuven Yaacobov presides over the orthodox Sephardic synagogue located on Passauer Strasse 4. His yeshiva studies took him from Moscow to Jerusalem – where he completed his studies and graduated as a certified shochet, mohel and rabbi. He has been employed as rabbi and religion teacher since the establishment of Berlin’s Sephardic synagogue in 2006. His primary responsibilities include preparing youngsters for bar and bat mitzvah.

Rabbi Yaacobov was born 1977 in Uzbekistan. He is married and has three children.
