Israelis in Berlin

Many Israelis have made Berlin their home – some just temporarily and others permanently. A website and newsletter are available, about and by Israelis.

a) Newsletter: Israelis in Berlin

  • Since 2001, Israelis in Berlin have been meeting on the first Monday of every month at a local cafe to discuss specific themes and to chat with each other in Hebrew.
  • A bi-monthly newsletter, in German and Hebrew, goes out to more than 1,500 Israelis. It contains information about events as well as an advertisement section where one may sell/buy items or offer/search for accommodation or jobs in Berlin and Israel.
  • Ilan Weiss, organiser of both the monthly meetings and the newsletter, also helps new Israeli arrivals find their bearings in Berlin, free-of-charge.

All activities are open to everyone; guests are welcome. The newsletter may be ordered directly from Ilan Weiss (contact here).

b) Avi Efroni’s homepage

Avi Efroni’s homepage offers up-to-date information concerning Israel and the world, in English and German. There is also the option of subscribing to a newsletter containing information relevant to Israelis living in Berlin.
